APPOINTMENTS
At the Family Medical Care Center, Dr. O'Connor and her staff realize that your time is valuable; Because of this, appointments need to be scheduled in advance so time can
be set aside especially for you.
Most patients can be seen the same day they call.
If by some chance you need to cancel, an appointment
or reschedule, please call as soon as possible to ensure
a more convenient time.
OFFICE HOURS
Monday through Thursday - 8:00am to 5:00pm
Friday - 8:00am to 12:00pm
TELEPHONE CALLS
The phone is answered during the regular office hours. The staff is trained to answer your questions. If they are unable to answer your questions, or you need to speak directly to Dr. O'Connor, you will be asked to leave your name and phone number. Dr. O'Connor returns phone calls at the end of the day after all patients have been seen. Exceptions are made for urgent situations. PRESCRIPTIONS
If you require a prescription for medication at the time of your visit, you will be given a written prescription that may be filled at any local pharmacy. If you need a refill before your next visit, please call the pharmacy to have the prescripion refilled. Please call two days in advance of needing the medication. If refills are not approved, you will be notified and an appointment can be made to see Dr. O'Connor at that time.
CONFIDENTIALITY & MEDICAL RECORDS
Your medical records are strictly confidential. No information about your condition will be given to relative, friends or insurance companies without your written permission, which includes all laboratory and X-Ray reports. All members of the staff maintain the confidentiality of the medical records.
INSURANCE
Customarily, payment is made at the time service is rendered. After the first initial visit, Dr. O'Connor and her staff will work out payment plans if needed. Payment plans vary from case to case and are reviewed by Dr. O'Connor and her staff at the time the service is rendered. The patient is responsible for payment of the entire bill regardless of the patient's insurance coverage.
